Favorite Book - Blogtober #25
I go through stages with reading books. I love reading, I just never seem to make time for it. Currently, I have the following books opened and dog eared but not finished: Mockingjay - the last book of the Hunger Games Trilogy, Darker - the second book of Fifty Shades of Gray, Seriously, I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres, and Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn.
Yeah.. that sounds a little ridiculous now that I typed those all out. And as you can see I like all kids of books: SCI-FI fan girl, smut, humor and depressing/dark/holy shit wtf is this book stuff.
Typically I'll get super into a book and finish it within a week - as I did with Gone Girl a few months ago. But lately, I think my blog reading is taking up my book reading time. Which I can't complain about since I LOVE reading all your blogs.
I've mentioned before that I have a terrible memory so when prompted to talk about my favorite book I had a hard time. I went to my computer room bookshelf, took a peek and instantly said "Oh yeah! I loved that book!"
I had seen this woman on Bravo's Kell On Earth TV Show and loved her. She is the type of person that truly believes in tough love and she kind of scares me. I don't think I could ever work for her because she'd probably make me pee my pants. You may remember her from the days of MTV's The Hills when Lauren and Whitney both worked at her PR company. The second I heard she wrote a book I ran out and bought it.

I highlighted so many quotes from this book and I'm glad I did because just flipping through the pages to find my favorite quotes for this post reminded me that I need to re-read this book. Below are some of my favorites from this book:
I think this book is a must read for every young professional woman. It's uplifting, real and fun.
