Something I may not have mentioned here before is that I am a completely girly girl. Sure, I swear and drink like a sailor but I like to look good while doing so. Therefore, I have tried numerous beauty products to achieve my ultimate goal which is to
look like Jennifer Aniston look like I haven’t been up all night binge drinking. Below are a few of my favorites that I would recommend to anyone.
1) Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater • Mario Badescu • $7
I started to use Mario Badescu products about a year ago when I developed some annoying form of adult acne. I tried nearly every product under the sun and even scheduled a few appointments with a dermatologist to try to save my skin. Mario Badescu products were the only products that helped soothe my skin and treat my acne. After my acne subsided I saw this product in Ulta and decided to try it since it only cost $7 and it smelled wonderful. I now use it as a makeup setting spray and to refresh my face throughout the day.
2) Maybelline New York Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner, Blackest Black, 0.106 oz. • $7.49
I think I have more eyeliner products than any other type of makeup in my vanity. I am always looking for one that lasts all day without smudging all over my face. This product is everything that I’ve ever wanted in an eyeliner and more. It is incredibly pigmented and easy to apply. I wouldn’t recommend it for your lower lash line though unless you have a very, very thin brush to apply it.
3) NYX Cosmetics Concealer Wand, Porcelain, 0.11-Ounce • NYX • $4.99
Concealer is on my holy grail makeup product. I feel naked without it since it helps me look like a normal human rather than the zombie I am since I get only about 5 hours of sleep a night. This specific concealer is a newbie to my ever growing collection but so far I really like using it. It’s a bit heavier and thicker than other brands so it does a great job concealing my under eye dark circles.
4) Sigma F80 – Flat Kabuki TM • $24
I have wanted this makeup brush F O R E V E R. I watched 100’s of beauty tutorials on YouTube and all of the vloggers seem to L O V E this brush. I have bought numerous brushes trying to find a cheaper duplicate of this one but nothing compares. I use this to apply my foundation and it leaves the skin with a nearly perfect airbrush finish. I was hesitant to purchase it because it costs over $20 but when I factored in that I use foundation 5-6 days a week the money is well worth it for a great tool.
5) Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, Top Coat 0.5 fl oz (14.8 ml) • Sally Hansen • $9.95
Since I’m a nail biter I don’t get to apply nail polish that often but when I do I want it to last. This top coat is a gel formula that mocks the popular gel manicures you get in a salon. Sally Hansen has a whole line of colorful Miracle Gel polishes too that I’m itching to try. I use this top coat with non Sally Hansen brand polishes and it works great. I’m currently wearing a $.99 cent nail polish with this top coat and my nails look amazing.
