Favorite Foundation – Blogtober Day 24

Helene in Between Blogtober

I am not a beauty blogger, obviously. But I am currently loving one product and I figured this Blogtober prompt is the perfect time to highlight it.

This shit is legit.

Growing up I never wore foundation, I’d slap a little concealer on and head out the door. Then as I grew older and became more stressed I started to look like a worn out crack doll so I started to explore foundations.

I hated them all. I didn’t like the feeling of a heavy wet oil slick on my face. I hopped on the Bare Minerals powder foundation train and it was okay but I thought it made me look dry and cakey. I didn’t know what else to use so I just continued with it.

When I finally decided to try a BB cream I settled on Maybelline’s Dream Fresh All-In-One version.  I still was not 100% thrilled  so I kept searching. Lo and behold, YouTube directed me into the right direction.

I watched TONS of YouTube videos of make up reviews and tutorials and kept hearing about the Garnier BB cream so I purchased it. Well, I purchased the “original version” which was a mistake. The original version is thick with a strong fragrant smell. The version for “oily/combination skin” is the one that everyone raved about because it has a thinner with a more water like texture with no smell. That is the one you want to get. Even if you aren’t oily/combo GET that one, I promise you won’t regret it.

I have very sensitive skin and I never had an issue with breakouts from this product. It is also long lasting and provides pretty good coverage.

  1. WELL isn't that a bugger. I wrote you this big ol message and then.. I sent it and .. nothing. So here I go again– i have never been a girl to wear foundation. But just THIS morning I was looking at myself thinking that maybe this was something I should consider. I am a bit of a skeptic because like I mentioned before, I've never worn foundation. But I'm happy to see that you seem to like it and I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for the recommendation.
